If Ohio women refuse to date local men after watching Season 10 of "Love Is Blind," who could blame them?
State of play: The latest episodes of Netflix's reality dating series see our Ohio couples getting ready to walk down the aisle, but not before a few embarrass themselves during a Columbus mixer.
- The way some of these dudes are acting, Netflix would be right to secure a copyright license for TLC's "No Scrubs."
Warning: Potential spoilers ahead.
Zoom in: There is still hope (maybe a little) for our Cleveland lovers. Local speech-language pathologist Christine Hamilton is in the most secure relationship of all with Vic, an assistant professor at Ohio State.
- Ashtabula claims manager Ashley Carpenter is hanging on by a thread with her fiancé Alex, who grew up in Westlake but has professed his dislike of Cleveland multiple times.
- Episode 11 concludes with Cleveland salesman Mike Gibney standing at the altar with his fiancée Emma, contemplating an "I do."
What's next: We'll find out who gets married and who gets left at the altar during next week's finale.
🙌 Troy and Axios Columbus' Alissa Widman Neese are back, wondering if Ohio's men will ever find redemption:
What word best describes Chris' actions during the mixer in Columbus?
Troy: Moronic. Getting drunk on camera is never a good idea, but it's to the point where this guy should think about skipping the reunion.
Alissa: Pathetic. I haven't seen somebody that sloppy since my college days, and this dude is 33 years old.
Who else drove you insane in this week's episodes?
Troy: I'll let Alissa address the mess that is Alex.
- I'll go with Devonta, who ruins a romantic trip to Hocking Hills with Brittany by bringing up a prenup.
Alissa: Sure, "nomadic" sounds fancier than "unemployed drifter," but Alex isn't fooling anybody anymore.
- Even if love is blind, it's built on trust. He's always talking in circles defensively, which immediately makes me skeptical — and Ashley too.
How shocked were you that Bri backed out of her wedding with Connor?
Troy: Editing on these types of shows can be weird, but it was pretty shocking.
- Maybe she simply realized she didn't want to get married on a reality show?
Alissa: I still haven't recovered from seeing Connor cry.
Do you think any of the remaining couples get married next week?
Troy: I might bet my house that Vic and Christine are going all the way.
- Mike and Emma seem poised to get married based on the cliffhanger, but I'm worried Mike's parents may have placed some serious doubts in his head.
Alissa: I can't imagine dragging my entire family to watch me get publicly rejected in a wedding gown.
- But beyond our adorable heroes Vic and Christine, I truly have no idea.
