Gogo Charters, a Texas-based charter bus company, is launching a Midwest bus network that will connect Cleveland to major cities across the region.
Why it matters: With Megabus long gone and Greyhound headed for Brook Park, Gogo will soon be the only charter bus company operating downtown.
State of play: The network is scheduled to launch this summer, with fares beginning as low as $10 and a dynamic pricing model based on trip length and availability.
- Gogo plans to depart from the Cleveland Marriott on West Mall Drive.
Zoom in: Cleveland routes will take passengers to Columbus and Detroit, with stops in Akron and Toledo, respectively.
- From there, passengers can transfer to buses traveling to Indianapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin.
The intrigue: Both Cleveland routes will travel corridors that have been selected by the Federal Railroad Administration as priorities for potential Amtrak expansion, though that's still years down the road.
What they're saying: Gogo says passengers can expect "an elevated travel experience with modern buses" and amenities including reclining seats, WiFi, and onboard restrooms.
What's next: The Midwest is the second regional network that Gogo has announced in 2025 — the first was in Texas.
- The company says it will launch "several" more this year, creating a "nationwide network of interconnected" routes.
