If you thought Halloween decorations in Northeast Ohio were jaw-dropping, wait until you see the winter displays.
Why it matters: Christmas is less than two weeks away and eye-popping holiday lights are viewable all over the region.
We've compiled a list of some of the larger displays to check out this season:
The centerpiece of downtown's annual WinterLand celebration is the lighting display on Public Square that includes a 50-foot-tall Christmas tree.
- Free to view.
GE Lighting's Nela Park holiday display is in its 100th year and features nearly 1 million LED lights across several blocks on Noble Road in East Cleveland.
- Free to view; runs through Jan. 6.
🧑🎄 Fairview Park
The residents around Seabury Avenue in Fairview Park collaborate annually on their holiday lights displays.
Yes, but: Things will look slightly different this year as a city code prevents decorations on sidewalks.
- An "Elf Tent" with free hot cocoa will be open Dec. 20 through Christmas Eve. Donations are appreciated.
Crown Point Parkway in Strongsville puts on a "Festival of Lights" each year that includes candy cane gardens, nativity scenes, sidewalk arches and the occasional visit from Santa.
- The neighborhood lights up at 5:30pm daily through New Year's Day and is free to visit.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is illuminated with more than 1.5 million lights and themed areas, including an enchanted forest, swan lake and Santa Claus' North Pole headquarters.
- You can walk through from 5:30-9:30pm daily through Dec. 30 (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). Tickets start at $24.
The luxurious Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron features more than 1 million holiday lights on its grounds through Dec. 30 (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).
- Tickets start at $20 for adults and $9 for kids.
The Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Middleburg Heights hosts a drive-through experience with more than 2 million LED lights and digital displays.
- It runs daily through Jan. 4. Tickets start at $27 per vehicle.
