The arboretum in Kirtland is open year-round, but you could make the case it's best experienced in the fall before all the leaves hit the ground.
- The Leaf Trail, which gives you the lowdown on more than 20 deciduous trees, runs through Nov. 25.
Cost: Tickets are $19 for adults, $13 for kids ages 3-12, free for those under 3.
🦧 Go Ape Zipline & Adventure Park
The above-the-ground attraction at Mill Stream Run Reservation in Strongsville is available for bookings on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 1.
- There is a 560-foot adventure, a 200-foot introduction aerial zipline and axe-throwing for visitors who like to remain grounded.
Cost: Zipline journeys start at $34.95 per person.

🏞️ Berea Falls Scenic Overlook
Head to the Berea end of the Rocky River Reservation to experience one of the prettiest waterfalls in Northeast Ohio before it freezes.
- The trip includes a little exercise as the falls are a short hike from a parking lot at the intersection of Barrett Road and Valley Parkway.
You can visit the Geneva winery year-round, but fall offers panoramic views of the beautiful vineyard with live music on weekends.
