The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 2024 Inductee Exhibit is full of intriguing items, whether it's sequin dresses or a simple pair of sandals.
State of play: The showcase, which opens today, features each of this year's 16 inductees. They'll be honored during a ceremony at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Oct. 19.
- The most real estate belongs to the bands, including MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer's red, white and blue Fender Stratocaster, and the outfit worn by Dave Matthews Band's frontman in the video for 2001's "I Did It."
- There are also items from each member of Kool & the Gang and Foreigner.

Between the lines: The exhibit's show-stopping artifacts belong to, perhaps, this year's most charismatic inductees — a trio of Cher's sparkling dresses and gear from Ozzy Osbourne's 1981 Diary of a Madman Tour.
- On the more modest side are Peter Frampton's iconic "Phenix" Les Paul guitar and a pair of sandals Jimmy Buffet would wear when not performing barefoot.
If you go: The exhibit is on the Museum's third floor and is included with admission.
What's next: The Rock Hall kicks off its Induction Week with a free Celebration Day on Sunday.
