Cher does a 180 on Rock Hall

The intrigue: Cher has been eligible since 1991 but didn't receive her first nomination and induction until this year.

What she said: "I wouldn't be in it now if they gave me a million dollars," Cher said last December.

What she's saying now: Cher has reversed her stance, with a caveat.

• "I'm going to have some words to say," she told ET. "I'm going to accept it as me."

Between the lines: Cher's change of heart comes several months after she announced she's recording a new album this year.

Flashback: Cher isn't the first artist to reconsider the Rock Hall. Dolly Parton tried to withdraw her nomination in 2022 but ended up headlining the ceremony.
