It's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame season as the museum gets set to announce its class of 2024 in the next week or two.
Why it matters: This year's ceremony will take place in Cleveland and could include big names like Mariah Carey, Ozzy Osbourne and Cher.
The big picture: 56 artists have been inducted into the Rock Hall in their first year of eligibility (25 years after their first official release), including nine over the past decade.
- Here are five artists we think will be added to that list in the coming years:
Beyoncé
When: 2027
The intrigue: Beyoncé's landmark country album adds to an impeccable resume that makes her the next sure thing for the Rock Hall.
By the numbers: Beyoncé's 32 Grammy wins are the most all time, and she's likely to add to that total next year.
What we're watching: Mariah Carey's potential induction bodes well for Beyoncé, showing voters favor top-tier female pop stars.
Taylor Swift
When: 2031
The intrigue: Swift is working her way toward becoming the biggest music star ever, and she recently appeared at a Rock Hall ceremony to induct Carole King.
By the numbers: Swift is the only person to win the Grammy for Album of the Year four times, is the first musician to become a billionaire solely on music earnings, and has the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.
What we're watching: Rock Hall Foundation chairman John Sykes has talked about bringing a ceremony to Nashville or London. Swift's high-profile induction could be an optimal time.
Adele
When: 2032
The intrigue: Back-to-back induction ceremonies featuring Swift and Adele, two of the biggest music stars of the 21st century? Book it.
By the numbers: Adele was the best-selling artist of the 2010s with her third effort, "25," being the only album ever to sell more than 3 million copies in its first week of release.
What we're watching: It will be interesting to see how the Rock Hall handles Amy Winehouse (eligible in 2028), who helped pave the way for Adele.
Lady Gaga
When: 2033
The intrigue: You're probably sensing a theme by now that girls will run the Rock Hall world, including Lady Gaga, who has been this generation's Madonna.
By the numbers: Gaga's impact has crossed over to Hollywood. In 2019 she became the first woman to win an Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA Award and Grammy in the same year.
What we're watching: Cher's potential induction this year feels like a precursor to Gaga.
Bruno Mars
When: 2035
The intrigue: Mars is a critical darling who has won just about every major award while also penning hits for other artists.
By the numbers: Mars was the first male artist to release three singles ("Just the Way You Are," "Grenade" and "Uptown Funk!") that have sold 10 million-plus copies worldwide.
What we're watching: Rappers Kendrick Lamar and Drake — both eligible in 2034 — almost claimed this final spot, but they could cancel each other out.
