The Club, a popular South End fitness hub, plans to open a second studio nearby focused on heated workouts.
Why it matters: Demand for its classes continues to outpace capacity, co-owner Nicole Paradis tells Axios.
Context: The Club opened in winter 2025 on South Graham Street, bringing cycling, mat classes and co-working under one roof.
- Though open just over a year, the studio has become one of the city's favorite boutique fitness spots — a draw likely fueled by its South End location and a one-stop-shop setup (coffee, workspace, showers and trendy workouts).
- It'll keep its two-story home base while adding a second location on South Boulevard in Lower South End that will be devoted to its most in-demand classes.
Zoom out: Heated sculpt, a mat Pilates-inspired format with light weights, resistance bands and high heat, is one of the buzziest workout trends in the country right now, and local fitness studios are feeling that demand.
Zoom in: The Club's signature PULSE class, a 45-minute heated, beat-based sculpt, regularly fills a waitlist equal to a second class at peak times, says Paradis.
- So, she and co-owner Meg Mars decided to make their second studio fully devoted to heated workouts.
What to expect: The Club LoSo will be a one-room studio offering only heated mat classes, including PULSE, a new hot cardio sculpt class called SWEAT and a heated stretch class.

The studio will accommodate about 34 mats and be heated to 85—90 degrees.
- It will also have a dedicated parking lot, two showers, bathrooms and a dry bar with hot tools.
- The new spot will also have a co-working space, where members and guests can drop in, grab coffee, work and check in for a class.
- The Club's popular coffee bar, Pertinacious, will also be available at the new location.

What they're saying: "We're blown away in the best way by our growth," says Paradis. "Waitlists sound cool on paper, but we want our members to get into classes."
- They began the hunt for a new studio in December and found their new space at 4203 South Blvd., a former church next to Burr and Berry.
What's next: The studio is targeting a late-summer or early-fall opening.
- All current memberships will transfer automatically to the new studio, and founding memberships for LoSo residents are in the works, she adds.
The big picture: The Club LoSo joins a growing fitness scene in Lower South End. Tremble, a Lagree-inspired studio, is opening nearby.
- Existing studios include Reformer Pilates studio BodyRok, Jazzercise Charlotte Fitness Center, Crossfit LoSo and CLT Lifting Club.
