An estate spanning 100 acres west of Lake Norman is asking for $13,995,000.
Why it matters: The mansion enters the market as the highest-priced listing in Lincoln County, doubling previous sales records in recent years.
Zoom in: The Iron Station property belongs to Adam Hayes, the longtime caddie for LIV golfer Jon Rahm.
Layout: A 1,700-foot paved driveway leads to a private gated entrance and a house with four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two half baths over more than 5,400 square feet.
- Built in 2021, the home mixes old and new, with antique wood beams from a 200-year-old Virginia barn and a kitchen with an oversized island, Everest Pearl quartzite countertops, a Wolf gas range, a built-in Miele espresso system, and a wine fridge.
Entertaining features: There is also a newly constructed 3,000-square-foot gym and recreation space near the resort-style pool, outdoor shower, and spa.
- Inside you'll find a golf and sports simulator, turfed batting cage with a pitching machine, wet bar and fitness equipment.
- The estate also includes two flowing creeks, trails, and separate equestrian facilities, including a custom barn with stalls, a tack room, a loft, and fenced pastures.
What's next: Ben Bowen of Premier Sotheby's International Realty has the listing, which includes mounted TVs, a Sonos system and security cameras.
