The Carolina Panthers' home opener is Sunday, Sept. 21, against the Atlanta Falcons. It's time to dig into Bank of America Stadium's game day menu as the team goes for its first win of the season.
Why it matters: Food is essential to the football experience — from what you'll eat during your tailgate to what you're snacking on inside the stadium.
Dig in: The "Masked Bandit" is smoked chopped brisket, cheddar cheese and South Carolina vinegar slow, bourbon BBQ sauce on a "raccoon" roll.
- Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette helped create the raccoon-inspired sandwich with Levy, the stadium's hospitality partner. You'll find the sandwich in sections 116, 314, 346 and 521 for $17.

- If you're looking for nachos, head to section 126 for al pastor pork nachos, Cheerwine BBQ chicken nachos or Tex-Mex ground beef nachos — all $13.99.

- Carolina Rice Co. in section 129 will serve vegetable fried rice ($14.99), chicken fried rice ($15.99) and steak fried rice ($16.99).

- If you're looking to go all-out in the 300 level, try the BBQ platter with house-smoked pork, a glazed chicken quarter, jalapeño cheddar sausage, potato salad, coleslaw, mac & cheese, pickles, pickled onions and cornbread for $28.99.
- There will also be stadium staples like popcorn, Bavarian pretzels and hot dogs. Other options include a classic gyro or gyro rice bowl near section 113, the Carolina Dog on the 100, 300 and 500 levels, plus the Carolina Cuban Sandwich near section 107.
