Delta Sky Club's first location at Charlotte Douglas International Airport opens today.
Why it matters: Debuting just in time for the holiday travel season, Delta's elegant new lounge provides travelers an escape from the hustle and bustle of CLT, one of the world's busiest airports.
State of play: Delta Sky Club is on the second level in CLT's Concourse A phase II expansion, which opened in September with 10 new gates: seven Delta gates, two Frontier gates and one common-use gate.
- Head toward gates A38 and A39. Take the escalator to the second level before you reach those gates.
- The lounge opens at 11am today, Dec. 18, and closes at 8pm. Regular hours going forward will be 5am until 8pm.
By the numbers: Between 400-450 people are expected to use the lounge daily, Delta Sky Club operations director Tim Genovese tells Axios.
- It's CLT's second-largest lounge at 14,165 square feet and 246 seats. (American's Admirals Club on Concourses C/D is 23,000 square feet.)
The vibe: The neoclassical decor evokes "Bridgerton," fitting with the lounge's Queen Charlotte references. (If you're new here, Queen Charlotte, the same one from the show, is the city of Charlotte's namesake).
What to expect: There's a buffet with Southern-inspired food, two beverage stations serving coffee, tea and water, plus six soundproof booths.
- There is a 14-seat bar, with complimentary drinks, plus signature cocktails for purchase (you can use miles or dollars. A blood orange margarita, for instance, costs $10.50 or 700 miles).
- Part of the space overlooks the first level, giving it a patio feel.

How it works: You can access the lounge through a membership or qualifying credit card:
- An individual membership costs $695 or 69,500 miles for one year. An executive membership costs $1,495 or 149,500 miles and includes up to two guests per visit.
- Find more access options here.
Zoom out: Delta Sky Club's addition brings a second lounge to Concourse A. It's also the airport's first new lounge since The Club CLT opened in Concourse A in March 2022.
