Real Madrid, Bayern Munich among teams coming to Charlotte for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

What to expect: Bank of America Stadium will host two group stage matches and two Round of 16 matches:

• Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid will play Mexican team Pachuca on June 22.
• German giant Bayern Munich faces Benfica of Portugal on June 24.
• Round of 16 matches are scheduled for June 28 and June 30.

Flashback: This will be Bayern Munich and Real Madrid's second visit to Charlotte. Both appeared in summertime friendlies: Bayern Munich played at Bank of America Stadium in 2016 in the International Champions Cup and Real Madrid played there earlier this year in the Soccer Champions Tour.

The big picture: Charlotte continues to host sporting events that draw fans from across the globe, from the inaugural Charlotte Invitational last night to Copa America over the summer and the upcoming PGA Championship in the spring.
