One of golf's most sacred events returns to Charlotte in the spring — the PGA Championship.
Why it matters: Attending the PGA Championship is a bucket list item for many. If this is an event you only plan on attending once, you may be more inclined to spend a little more.
Context: The PGA Championship is one of four majors. Charlotte hosted it for the first time in 2017, drawing sellout crowds and celebrities like Justin Bieber. The upcoming PGA Championship will take place May 12-18 at Quail Hollow Club in south Charlotte, which also hosted the 2017 tournament.
State of play: Weekly grounds tickets are sold out, along with Saturday grounds tickets. Jason Soucy, 2025 tournament director, says he's confident the whole event will be a sellout.
Between the lines: Grounds tickets, called Championship+, are all-inclusive for food and non-alcoholic beverages at concessions.
- You can grab one entrée, one snack and one non-alcoholic beverage each time you visit a concession area. You can head back for seconds, thirds ... as many times as you want.
- This allows fans to more time watching golf and less time waiting for people in line to pay for their food or drinks, Soucy says.
- You will be able to purchase alcohol at different locations around the course.
- Grounds tickets range from $69-$262. Ages 15 and under get in for free (up to two kids per adult ticket).
Zoom in: If you've heard the old saying about deals being done on the golf course, that doesn't strictly apply to when you're playing golf. You'll see plenty of corporate spectators enjoying premium hospitality.
- But if you want the luxury experience for just yourself, friends, family or perhaps a few colleagues or clients, that's where Club PGA comes in.
What to expect: Club PGA is the only individual hospitality option. It holds around 350 people and includes views of the 12th green and 13th tee, food and beverage, an open bar, multiple TVs, a patio, air conditioning, restrooms and Wifi.
- You can purchase up to eight Club PGA tickets, which cost $1,149 each for Thursday and $1,249 per day Friday through Sunday.
Take a look around.

What's next: After the PGA Championship has come and gone, the Truist Championship will head to Quail Hollow Club in 2026, marking Truist's first year as the title sponsor of Charlotte's annual PGA Tour event.
