Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen is opening at The Bowl at Ballantyne with a massive dining room and outdoor patio.
Why it matters: It's the latest in a string of recent openings at The Bowl. Bossy Beulah's, a fried chicken sandwich restaurant by the same owner, opened across the street in August.
Driving the news: Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen's new Ballantyne location will open today, Nov. 25, at 4pm.
- "Our guests will enjoy the timeless menu and local culinary perspective they come to us for, but our first new Rooster's location in 12 years afforded us the opportunity to freshen up the overall feel and design of the restaurant," owner Jim Noble said in a statement.

What to expect: The massive restaurant seats nearly 300 people inside and on its outdoor patio, plus it has a private room for events.
- Its menu mirrors its other locations, with dishes like wood-fired pizza, seafood options like grilled salmon and fried oysters, steaks and salads, and rotisserie chicken.

Flashback: Rooster's first opened in Winston-Salem in 1992 as Noble's Grille, a fine-dining restaurant specializing in local and regional dishes prepared using French techniques.
- In 2006, Charlotte's first Rooster's opened in SouthPark, marking the restaurant brand's shift to a more casual spot.
- The Ballantyne location is the fourth Rooster's restaurant, which you can also find in Uptown.

Between the lines: In addition to Rooster's and Bossy Beulah's, Noble Food & Pursuits (Noble's restaurant group) is behind other popular Charlotte staples like The Jimmy, Noble Smoke, Copain Bakery and non-profit restaurant The King's Kitchen.

Stop by: Rooster's Ballantyne is at 15110 Bowl St.
- Open 4pm nightly Nov. 25-Dec.1, except on Thanksgiving, when it'll be closed.
What's next: Starting Dec. 2, it'll open for lunch.
- Starting on Dec. 7, the restaurant will offer brunch on weekends.
