Dreamville Festival returns to North Carolina in 2024. Here are our predictions on who will perform.

  • The two-day music festival will take place for the fourth year at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh on April 6-7.

Context: Dreamville usually releases its lineup of artists a couple of months before the festival, so interested festivalgoers will have to patiently wait until then for an official announcement.

My thought bubble: People make speculations on who will perform the minute tickets go on sale. For me, it started the minute this year’s festival wrapped. Who could headline after Drake?

Nicki Minaj

  • Nicki Minaj released tour dates, with two stops in North Carolina, following a new album release of Pink Friday 2. The tour schedule indicates she’ll perform at Dreamville on April 7.
  • Minaj’s new album features a new song with J. Cole called “Let Me Calm Down.”
  • She’ll also perform at Spectrum Center on March 23. You can buy tickets here.

  • The Canadian rapper loves North Carolina, so he may make a return. He co-headlined with J. Cole at this year’s festival and he made a song about Charlotte, plus he added a second show when he made his tour stop here this year.
  • Drake recently announced that J. Cole would also join him on the second leg of his It’s All A Blur tour in 2024, which ends a week before the festival.
  • He also collaborated on two songs including “First Person Shooter: and “Evil Ways” with J. Cole this year.

Lil Wayne

  • Repeat performers at Dreamville Fest aren’t unusual. It’s possible that Lil Wayne will also make an appearance.
  • Wayne was part of the 2022 lineup and performed a few songs as a surprise guest with Drake this year.
  • At least five songs, including “Bedrock” and “Truffle Butter” could be performed if Wayne, Drake and Minaj share the stage.

Sexyy Red or Ice Spice

  • These two rappers are newer artists who’ve become more mainstream lately.
  • It’s possible we see them soon at a big festival like Dreamville.
