Drake adds a second show in Charlotte
Drake just added a second show in Charlotte for his “It’s All a Blur” tour with 21 Savage.
What’s happening: He’ll perform at Spectrum Center on Sept. 22 and 23. Fan demand resulted in the addition of the Sept. 23 date, per Live Nation.
Details: Tickets go on sale to the general public today, April 28 at noon.
Why it matters: Charlotte continues to cement itself as a destination for major acts. The city’s concert lineup for the second half of the year is stacked, with Snoop Dogg performing at PNC Music Pavilion on Aug. 8 and Beyoncé performing at Bank of America Stadium on Aug. 9
Zoom out: Drake co-headlined North Carolina’s J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival in Raleigh earlier this month.
Flashback: It’s been nearly a decade since Drake had a stop in Charlotte. He performed at PNC Music Pavilion with Lil Wayne on their joint tour in 2014.
