Hello, pumpkin season. Here are 12 pumpkin patches to check out around the Charlotte area.
Pro tip: Hours may vary because of weather, so be sure to check the farms' websites before you go. Many locations also provide hours and pricing for schools and group trips during the week.
Bush-N-Vine Farm
About an hour outside of Charlotte in York, South Carolina, Bush-N-Vine Farm offers U-pick pumpkins, a walking trail, plus a cafe to fill up on apple cider donuts, ice cream, hot dogs and quesadillas.
If you go: U-pick pumpkins will run Sept. 27-Oct. 31.
- No reservation is required.
- Pumpkins less than five pounds are $1.15/lb. Pumpkins over five pounds are 69 cents/lb.
- The farm will also host live music the last Saturday in September and every Saturday in October.

Charlotte Knights Pumpkin Patch
Each year, the Charlotte Knights host a massive one-day pumpkin patch at Truist Field in Uptown.
If you go: The 2025 date is Saturday, Oct. 11 from 11am-4pm.
- Expect thousands of pumpkins in the outfield grass, a beer garden with seasonal food and beverages, shopping, live music, kids' inflatables and more.

Carrigan Farms
This Mooresville family farm has U-pick pumpkins by day, and transforms into a haunted attraction called Scarrigan Farms by night.
If you go: Pumpkin picking begins Sept. 27. Scarrigan Farms begins Oct. 3 and will run Thursday-Sunday nights through the month.
- Reservations for pumpkin picking are required and $15 per person, which includes a pumpkin and a hayride to the patch and a petting zoo.

Cherry Place Farm
Rock Hill's Cherry Place Farm hosts a fall festival with self-guided tours including a pumpkin patch, a two-acre corn maze, farm animals, kids’ activities and free popcorn.
If you go: The fall festival kicks off Oct. 4 and runs every Saturday (10am-6pm) and Sunday (1-6pm) in October.
- Admission is $10 and free for children under two. All activities are included. If you're visiting just for pumpkins, there's no admission fee.

Hall Family Farm
Spend an entire day at Hall Family Farm by picking pumpkins, roaming through the 7-acre corn maze and eating apple cider doughnuts by a bonfire.
If you go: The fall season runs Sept. 19- Nov. 2.
- Open Thursdays 12-6pm, Fridays and Saturdays 12-10pm and Sundays 9am-6pm.
- Admission is free. Pumpkins are 70 cents per pound, corn mazes are $4 (small) and $11 (large).
- 445 W Rebound Road, Lancaster, South Carolina
Hodges Family Farm
Located in east Charlotte, Hodges is a short drive for those looking to stay in the city. In addition to a pumpkin patch, expect hay bales for climbing, barn animals, photo ops, picnic areas, treats and weekend hayrides.
If you go: The fall season runs Sept. 27-Oct. 31.
- Open daily from 9am-6pm.
- Admission is free. Parking is $5 per car on Saturday and Sunday.

Lineberger's Maple Springs Farm
Thirty minutes from Uptown, this family-owned farm in Dallas celebrates fall with a u-pick pumpkin patch (100+ varieties), wagon rides, a farm store and kid's play area.
If you go: The fall season starts Sept. 20. Admission is free.
- Wagon rides are offered weekends in September and daily in October for $7.50, which includes a medium-sized pumpkin from the patch.

Millstone Creek Orchards
Just under two hours from Charlotte, Millstone Creek is known for its yearly tradition — the Autumn Harvest Adventure.
- Expect a pumpkin patch and sunflower field, a four-ounce apple cider slushie, pumpkin seed tasting, a hayride, a meet-and-greet with baby Highland cows and catch-and-release fishing (new for 2025).
If you go: The Autumn Harvest Adventure will run on Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 27-Oct. 26.
- It's reservation-only and $18.95 per person (free for kids under two).
- Pumpkins are sold separately for 75 cents per pound.

Patterson Farm
Patterson Farm in Rowan County offers numerous fall attractions. There's a pumpkin market, an ice cream shop with seasonal flavors, plus a ticketed "Fall at The Farm" experience that includes access to farm activities like a playground, barnyard, train ride, corn maze and more.
If you go: The fall season runs Sept. 20-Nov. 1.
- The "Fun on the Farm" experience will run Monday-Friday noon-6pm, Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 10am-6pm. Tickets are required and start at $12.99 (kids two and under are free).
- There's no admission fee for pumpkins.

Shelby Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch
Admission to the farm includes a hayride to the pumpkin patch, an 8-acre corn maze, farm animals and courtyard activities. There’s also a haunted corn maze after dark on Fridays and Saturdays.
If you go: The fall season runs Sept. 20-Oct. 2. Open Fridays 4-10pm, Saturdays 10am-10pm and Sundays 2-8pm.

- Farm admission is $16. A haunt pass is $16 or both for $22.
Wise Acres
This Indian Trail pumpkin patch is known for its U-pick pumpkins, farm activities (like corn pits and wagon rides) and homemade pizzas, which are offered through pre-orders on the weekends.
If you go: Fall season starts Sept. 20. Reservations are required and will open Sept. 15.

The Union Exchange
In addition to its pumpkin patch, the 54-acre Monroe farm offers a full calendar of fall events, from live music and wagon rides to festivals and children's programs.
If you go: The fall season runs Sept. 28-Oct. 31.
