Snooze AM Eatery is opening its second Charlotte location in South End on October 28.
It’s across from Atherton Mill in what’s now called The Avenues at Atherton, formerly The Pavillion where Owen’s Bagel was located.
“South End is just such a growing area,” general manager Elliot Sanger told the Agenda. “With the success (Snooze) has had in Plaza Midwood, we wanted to expand here.”
Menu: Expect a similar menu to Snooze’s Plaza Midwood location with things like pancakes flights, French toast, and breakfast burritos and tacos. Some of the most popular dishes are:
- Everything Bacon Sensation – an everything spice brioche bun smeared with green goddess cream cheese, topped with an over-medium cage free egg, bacon, and citronette dressed arugula.
- Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes with caramelized pineapple chunks, house-made vanilla creme, and cinnamon butter.
- Juan’s Breakfast Tac – fresh flour tortillas topped with scrambled eggs, hash browns, jack cheese, green Chile hollandaise, and pico de gallo.
- Bravocado Toast – rustic bread toasted with garlic oil, topped with smashed avocado, red onion honey jam, and roasted tomatoes. Served with citronette and parmesan-dressed greens and two cage free sunny side up eggs.
The Avenues: The Pavilion at South End sold for $7.3 million to Abacus Capital and Big Cypress Capital. The 31,000-square-foot building has undergone a multi-million dollar redevelopment. It’s now named. The Avenues at Atherton.
Tenants already open at the revamped mixed-use hot-spot include Silverlake Ramen (a California-based ramen spot) and Rockbox Fitness.
“This area of South End is the most dynamic micro-market between Washington, DC and West Midtown Atlanta,” Adam Williams, who’s led leasing efforts, says. “We are excited to bring the excitement of South End and the historic elegance of Dilworth together through this project.
Location and hours: The exact address is 2041 South Boulevard. It’ll be open 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends.
