Prediction: Charlotte will lose its mind over Shake Shack — CFO Tara Comonte won’t believe the sales volume

I’m willing to bet that when Shack Shake CFO Tara Comonte views the Charlotte grand opening sales data this spring, she’s not going to believe her eyes — it’s going to be like printing cash.

Recently, we surveyed out 32,000 daily Agenda newsletter subscribers about which grand opening they were most excited about.

#1 was Shake Shack. It wasn’t even close.

Shake Shack received 55% more votes than Whole Food Uptown which came in as the #2 grand opening Charlotte is most excited about. Rounding out the top 5 were Bang Bang Bites, Flour Shop (now open) and Holler & Dash.

Shake Shack opens in Park Road Shopping Center this spring next to Burton’s.

I love that the Shake Shack real estate people chose Charlotte for their first restaurant in North Carolina.

I tried to pin Shake Shack down on an exact grand opening date, but is that it’ll open this spring. If I had to guess, I’d say early April.

Construction is now moving along quickly and I’m digging the architecture.

If you’ve never been to Shake Shake, it’s simple and delicious.

I went for the first time on a recent trip to Chicago and it lived up the hype.
