Frontier doubles nonstop flights from Austin

Driving the news: Frontier will add service to Orlando, Chicago, Cincinnati and Phoenix three times a week.

• The airline currently offers flights to and from Cleveland; Denver; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Las Vegas.

What they're saying: "With ultra-low-cost travel options to even more of the nation's top destinations, consumers in the greater Austin area will enjoy Frontier's affordability and convenience as they plan their spring and summer travel," Frontier's Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, said in a statement.

What we're watching: Spirit's bankruptcy filing has raised questions about what will happen to future low-cost flights. Spirit officials say customers can continue to book and fly without interruption.
