Trump warns of more possible Venezuela strikes

A "second wave" of strikes on Venezuela is possible, President Trump told "Fox & Friends" Saturday morning, following an overnight operation to capture the country's leader Nicolás Maduro.

The big picture: Trump said he spoke to Maduro a week ago and told him "to surrender and give up," but he wasn't willing to do it.

Trump stressed that Maduro loyalists will have "bad future" if they stay loyal.

Zoom in: Trump told Fox that Maduro and his wife were transferred by U.S. military helicopters to the Navy ship Iwo Jima, and will be making their way to New York.

Trump said Maduro and his wife were arrested in a house that had a fortified safe room with steel doors, but were snatched before they managed to reach this room.
He added that one of the helicopters was hit during the operation and several U.S. troops wounded, but none were killed.
