Statue of Trump and Epstein returns to D.C. after emails released

State of play: "Much like Trump's name in an Epstein e-mail dump, we have popped our head out to say an unannounced hello," the Secret Handshake said in an email announcing the return of the statue.

• The spray-painted bronze protest artwork, titled "Best Friends Forever," to highlight Epstein's previous friendship with Trump that later soured, now stands outside the Busboys and Poets Art Cafe on 14th Street NW.
• The National Park Service toppled the original 12-foot statue, which was dismantled into smaller pieces in late September, but granted approval to add the artwork back to its original location in early October after multiple requests.
• The Secret Handshake tells Axios that, for its third appearance, the statue is on private property, so does not need a permit. The group's plan is to keep it in place through the weekend.

What they're saying: "TDS [Trump Derangement Syndrome] Liberals think of endless ways to light their money on fire," White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said in a statement emailed to outlets including Axios.
