Kim Kardashian's Skims line with Nike is launching this week

Nike's long-anticipated collaboration with Kim Kardashian's Skims is finally set to debut this week, the companies announced on Monday.

Why it matters: The activewear collection's debut is good news for Nike, whose shares have experienced a rollercoaster ride this year, thanks at least in part to turmoil from Trump's trade war.

It's also a feather in the cap for Skims, which is one of the fastest-growing companies in the world, per Inc., and was last valued at $4 billion in 2023.

Driving the news: Nike announced on Monday that it would release three core collections for NikeSkims on Friday.

Those collections are Matte, Shine and Airy, which will be updated seasonally.
The two companies initially announced in February a spring debut, with a global rollout planned for 2026, but in June postponed the release.

Flashback: Nike's share price rose 6.2% the day it announced the partnership, adding $6.7 billion to its market value.

What they're saying: "NikeSkims is more than a collaboration — it's a new brand redefining activewear," Skims CEO Jens Grede said in a press release.

"With this launch, we are establishing a platform to grow NikeSkims, reach consumers worldwide and set a new benchmark for how activewear is experienced across retail, digital, and cultural touch points."
