Kim Kardashian no longer managing private equity firm

Kim Kardashian no longer is helping to manage a private equity firm she co-founded in 2022, according to the firm's website and new regulatory filings.

The big picture: Kardashian's name recognition and success with clothing brand Skims never translated into fundraising achievements for SKKY Partners, which she launched with former Carlyle Group dealmaker Jay Sammons.

The pair wanted to raise at least $1 billion to buy consumer companies, but through April had secured only $121 million and done just one deal (hot sauce maker Truff).

Driving the news: SKKY this week disclosed in securities filings that it's only secured a few more million dollars for its flagship fund, and that Kardashian no longer is an executive officer.

Its website now refers to her as a co-founder and senior operating advisor, whereas she previously was listed as a managing partner (alongside Sammons).
Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, previously was listed on the website as a senior advisor, but has since been removed entirely.

Axios reached out to Sammons and a SKKY spokesperson for comment, but has not yet heard back.
