Trump threatens Rosie O'Donnell's citizenship: "She is a Threat to Humanity"

What he's saying: "Because of the fact that Rosie O'Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship," Trump said in the Truth Social post.

Reality check: The U.S. Constitution prevents a president from unilaterally removing the citizenship of those he disagrees with.

• She also posted a TikTok video on Sunday from Dublin, Ireland blaming Trump for the deadly flash floods in Central Texas.
• "And, you know, when the president guts all of the early warning systems and the weathering‑forecast abilities of the government, these are the results [...]," O'Donnell said of the flooding death toll that has since surpassed 100.

Context: Experts told Axios that inaccurate forecasting models, an insufficient warning system, and poor timing were among the factors that contributed to the disaster in Texas.

• Neil Jacobs, Trump's choice to run the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, said before a Senate panel on Wednesday there are ways to improve forecasting technology and communicating hazards.
