U.K. issues new travel advice for citizens going to the U.S.

Zoom out: The U.K. isn't the only country to have altered its travel advice for citizens visiting the U.S.

• Germany updated its travel advisory for the U.S. Tuesday, saying visas and entry waivers wouldn't necessarily guarantee entry for German citizens.
• Several Germans have recently been detained in the U.S. for offenses including incorrectly answering a question from border authorities due to a language barrier, and traveling with tattoo equipment.
• A British artist from Wales was also detained in the U.S. in February and reunited with her family this month.
