• Senators voted 52-46 to limit debate on Gabbard's nomination, paving the way for a final vote later this week.
• Two senators didn't vote — Republican Thom Tillis (N.C.) and Democrat John Fetterman (Pa.).

• That was after Intel Chair Tom Cotton made a concerted effort to get her through, even enlisting the help of former Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) in swaying two of the panel's skeptical Republicans — Indiana's Todd Young and Maine's Susan Collins — to support Gabbard.
