Beyoncé to join Harris at Houston rally Friday

Beyoncé will join Vice President Kamala Harris on the campaign trail in Houston on Friday, multiple outlets reported.

Why it matters: Harris has enjoyed a flood of celebrity endorsements since replacing President Biden at the top of the Democratic presidential ticket, but the superstar is a blockbuster get with only days until voting concludes.

Beyoncé's "Freedom" has been the soundtrack to Harris' campaign since July, but the singer has not made an official endorsement.
In past elections, Beyoncé has endorsed Biden and Texas Democratic Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke.

State of play: Harris is expected to target reproductive rights during her campaign stop in Texas, where former President Trump has a 6.7 point lead over Harris, per FiveThirtyEight.

The Senate race between the once long-shot candidate Rep. Colin Allred (D) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R) has tightened in recent weeks as Democrats scramble to protect their tenuous Senate majority.

Zoom out: Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles and country legend Willie Nelson are also expected to join on Friday, per the Washington Post.
