Trump name checks "Pelosis" as he doubles down on "enemy from within" rhetoric

• The Fox News town hall represented the latest instance of him directing incendiary rhetoric against his political opponents.

State of play: Trump on Sunday said that "we have two enemies: We have the outside enemy, and then we have the enemy from within."

• He continued that "the thing that's tougher to handle are these lunatics that we have inside, like Adam Schiff."

Driving the news: When asked about these remarks by Fox News' Harris Faulkner, Trump said: "They're Marxists and communists and fascists and they're sick."

• "We have China, we have Russia, we have all these countries. If you have a smart president, they can all be handled," Trump said during the town hall.
• "The more difficult are, you know, the Pelosis, these people, they're so sick and they're so evil."

Between the lines: Trump mocked Paul Pelosi last year after he was attacked in his home by an intruder who was allegedly looking for former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
