"The Menendez Brothers" available now on Netflix

"Outer Banks" Season 4 available now on Netflix
The intrigue: Viewers will find out what happened during the 18-month gap between John B and the Pogues finding the gold in El Dorado and the crew being offered an opportunity to hunt for Blackbeard's treasure.
The fine print: This season is split into two five-episode parts. Part 2 will be available Nov. 7.

"Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft" on Netflix
- This new animated series starring Hayley Atwell ("Agent Carter") follows the events of the video game's "Survivor" trilogy. Available now
"Disclaimer*" on Apple TV+
- Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline star in this thriller series about a journalist trying to keep her secrets from being exposed after she discovers they are in a book written by an unknown author. Available Friday
"Ali Wong: Single Lady" on Netflix
- The Golden Globe winner's fourth Netflix special is about her post-divorce dating journey. Available now
- The latest: She's dating fellow comedy star Bill Hader, who joined her onstage during one of her performances at The Wiltern in L.A., where the special was filmed.
"Killer Cakes" on Prime Video
- Matthew Lillard ("Scream") hosts this baking competition where contestants work with Hollywood horror special effects artists to create frightening cake designs for a $20,000 prize. Available now
