Voters should "watch" Trump rallies after he bailed on "60 Minutes," Harris says

• Trump declined the offer from CBS News for the interview, citing, in part, disagreements over fact-checks during the interview.
• Trump initially agreed to sit down with 60 minutes, the network said last week.

Driving the news: "If he is not going to give your viewers the ability to have a meaningful, thoughtful conversation, question and answer with you, then watch his rallies," Harris told CBS News' Bill Whitaker.

• "You're going to hear conversations that are about himself and all of his personal grievances."
• "And what you will not hear is anything about you, the listener. You will not hear about how he is gonna try to bring the country together, find common ground."

Zoom in: Harris was also asked during the interview about some of her flip-flops on policy issues from her 2020 presidential campaign and she suggested that her travels as vice president have led her to find more moderate positions.

• "I have been traveling our country. And I have been listening to folks and seeking what is possible in terms of common ground," Harris said of her four years as vice president.

• "I believe in building consensus," she said.

Zoom out: Harris' interview on "60 Minutes" comes as the VP has launched a media blitz this week, after facing criticism for doing fewer interviews and press conferences than previous presidential tickets.
