President Biden's first interview since announcing he wouldn't seek re-election will air Sunday morning, CBS News announced Wednesday.
The big picture: Biden said in his sit down with CBS News chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa that he's "not confident" in a peaceful transfer of power if former President Trump loses the election.
Driving the news: A first look of the interview was aired on "America Decides," the CBS News 24/7 streaming network's politics show Wednesday night. (See YouTube video above).
- In the clip, Biden was asked if he was confident that there would be a peaceful transfer of power in January 2025.
- "If Trump loses, I'm not confident at all. He means what he says," Biden said. "We don't take him seriously. He means it, all the stuff about, 'If we lose, there'll be a bloodbath, it'll have to be a stolen election.'"
