Trump "sure" Nikki Haley will be on his team "in some form"

• Haley's announcement Wednesday should be a boost for presumptive Republican nominee Trump, who's struggled to win votes from her voters in GOP primaries even after she suspended her presidential campaign.

Driving the news: News 12's Tara Rosenblum asked the former president whether there would be room on his team for Haley, who was U.S. ambassador to the UN under Trump, "or better yet, your ticket."

• Trump replied: "I think she's going to be on our team because we have a lot of the same ideas, the same thoughts.
• "We had a nasty campaign, it was pretty nasty. But she's a very capable person, and I'm sure she's going to be on our team in some form, absolutely."

The intrigue: Rosenblum asked Trump to share his top three vice president picks.

• "We have so many, I don't want to do that," Trump said, before naming former HUD Secretary Ben Carson, Sens. Marco Rubio and J.D. Vance and Rep. Elise Stefanik but adding "we have many people who would do a really fantastic job."
• Representatives for Haley couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
