House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) vowed at the California Democratic Party State Convention Saturday Congress would continue with investigations into President Trump, saying he "will be held accountable for his actions."

Details: During her speech about the Muller investigation, Pelosi stopped short of calling for Trump's impeachment, the Sacramento Bee noted. Her speech prompted some in the crowd to call for the president's impeachment.

Why it matters: Pelosi remains defiant, despite growing calls from fellow Democrats, to move quickly to impeach Trump.

The big picture: In her speech to the convention, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) accused Trump of lying and breaking his campaign promises, as she reiterated her calls to impeach him, according to the Sacramento Bee.
