Trump to Democrat Maxine Waters: “Be careful what you wish for”

President Trump singled out Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters on Monday for telling her supporters to confront members of the Trump administration in public, calling her "an extraordinarily low IQ person."

Waters' comments...

"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere."

The backdrop: In the past week, protestors have driven Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Trump adviser Stephen Miller out of Mexican restaurants in D.C., citing the administration's policy that resulted in family separations at the southern border. Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was asked to leave The Red Hen in Lexington, VA by the restaurant's owner for the same reason.

Waters has received criticism for her comments, including from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who tweeted: "In the crucial months ahead, we must strive to make America beautiful again. Trump’s daily lack of civility has provoked responses that are predictable but unacceptable. As we go forward, we must conduct elections in a way that achieves unity from sea to shining sea."
