Day 10 of the Tokyo Olympic Games saw Puerto Rico bag its first-ever track gold medal when Jasmine Camacho-Quinn beat American world record holder Kendra Harrison to win the women’s 100-meter hurdles Monday.

The big picture: There was better news for the U.S. in the basketball, where the women's team beat France 93-82. The U.S. is entering the medal round undefeated, Axios' Ina Fried reports from Tokyo. France still advanced to the quarterfinals.

Vice President Kamala Harris joined former President George W. Bush at a ceremony on Saturday to honor the lives lost 20 years ago on United Airlines Flight 93.

President Biden participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Pentagon on Saturday to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

The latest: Biden and first lady Jill Biden arrived at the Pentagon after visiting the Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and Ground Zero in New York City.

De Groot completes first ever Golden Slam in wheelchair tennis

Dutch tennis player Diede de Groot became the first athlete to complete the Golden Slam in wheelchair tennis after a victory-making win at the U.S. Open on Sunday.

Why it matters: "No wheelchair tennis player had ever before completed the feat" of winning all four major tournaments in one year plus the Paralympic gold medal, according to the press release.
