Taylor Swift listening parties kick off at midnight, as the pop star's 12th studio album "The Life of a Showgirl" drops.
Why it matters: It's going to be a whole weekend of Swiftie parties, brunches, and family events in the DMV.
- Barrel in Capitol Hill will be ready to welcome crowds beginning at 10pm with old hits, then they'll load up the new album.
SWIFToberfest is coming to Wunder Garten on Friday, serving themed cocktails, giveaways, and Oktoberfest brews.
- Madhatter in Dupont has a Taylor Swift Party tomorrow night with themed drinks like "Champagne Problems," plus they'll be blasting Swift hits on Saturday ($5 cover).
- Another listening party goes big on Aperol Spritzes at Lady Madison Restaurant in Le Méridien hotel on Friday night.
- Makers Union (all locations, including The Wharf) will have a live DJ and music bingo, along with a jewelry station on Friday.
- Rave vibe seekers can look no further than the Taylor Swift Rave at Public Bar on 18th Street Saturday night.
Pink Moon, a new mom-centric wellness studio in Bethesda, is hosting an album release party on Saturday afternoon, with a live sing-along and crafts for kids.
- Cynthia Bar and Bistro on H Street NE is hosting "Brunch of a Showgirl" on Saturday and Sunday.
