Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) just put her Capitol Hill townhouse on the market for $2.2 million, reports the Wall Street Journal.
Why it matters: Speculation has been swirling that she'll run for New York governor in next year's election.
State of play: Stefanik purchased the home with family members for $1.2 million in 2010 as an investment before she was elected to Congress in 2014.
- Stefanik and her husband plan to spend more time in upstate New York, where their son is in school and they have a farm, she tells the Wall Street Journal.

The intrigue: The house is near Eastern Market, where Stefanik likes to hit up the cheese shop and Italian butcher, she tells WSJ.
