State of play: The Social Security Administration recently dropped its list of most popular baby names for 2024 — and while Charlotte this year maintained its top spot in D.C. for number one girl name, James snagged top billing from Liam on the boy list.
- Meanwhile, the most distinctively D.C. names — aka names that were most popular in the District compared to the nation at large – included Yuri, Kai and Beatrice for girls and Saleem, Zymir and Shai for boys.
