Scoop: Tech titan and crypto czar David Sacks buys $10M D.C. property

• He's part of a White House cohort that's unprecedented when it comes to wealth and is fueling a Trump bump in Washington real estate.

The big picture: In the new czar role, Sacks "will safeguard Free Speech online, and steer us away from Big Tech bias and censorship," Trump wrote last year in a Truth Social announcement about Sacks' post. The president said Sacks would also work on a legal framework for the crypto industry.

• And the tech titan hosted a big-dollar fundraiser for Trump at his San Francisco mansion last summer.

State of play: The D.C. property has four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a terrace, a private elevator, a custom curved staircase and a 24/7 concierge service.

Zoom in: James F. Kull, an Austin-based wealth manager who has been tied to another of Sacks' real-estate transactions, as well as a PAC connected to Sacks, is named on the deed for the residence, per the D.C. recorder of deeds.

What they're saying: Kull declined to provide comment when contacted by Axios.

• Real estate agent Daniel Heider, who represented both the buyer and seller of the property, did not respond to Axios' request for comment.
• Sacks declined to provide comment through a representative.

Zoom out: The buyers behind many of Washington's recent high-end transactions are hidden via LLCs, trusts or estate lawyers, and several real estate agents have told Axios they've signed non-disclosure agreements.
