Commanders are thriving. Dan Snyder's Fairfax real estate listing, not so much

State of play: Snyder listed his ginormous Fairfax County estate, River View, for a potentially record-setting $60 million last summer after he sold the Commanders and jumped ship to England.

• Snyder and his wife, Tanya, bought the property for $48 million in cash in 2021.
• The 16.5-acre spread comes with a 16,000-square-foot main house, a guest house, a carriage house and a dock.
• Plus: Eight bedrooms, nine baths, six half-baths, a home gym and indoor resistance pool, a spa with sauna and steam rooms, a game room and a 15-seat movie theater.

The intrigue: This isn't the first time the Snyders have had issues offloading a gargantuan estate.

• The couple listed their Potomac mega-mansion for $49 million in 2023, slashed the price, then eventually ended up donating the whole thing to charity.

What we're watching: If the uber-lux property could benefit from the D.C. area's real estate "Trump bump."
