Our deep cold

D.C. is in for several more days of highs in the lower 30s — if not longer.

Why it matters: We've been in a deep brrrr since a gush of cold air from the snow storm.

State of play: Today will be a respite; the high may surpass 45 degrees.

• Highs dip back down to the 30s tomorrow and Wednesday, and 36 on Thursday, per the National Weather Service.
• Lows will drop to 17 tomorrow night and 14 on Wednesday night.
