Hundreds of people — and some hopeful suitors carting "I'm single" signs — gathered in Meridian Hill Park yesterday for a Jack Schlossberg look-alike contest.
The big picture: Similar competitions are sweeping the globe (really), with contests for wannabe Timothée Chalamets and Miles Tellers alike.
Between the lines: Of course, D.C. chose JFK and Jackie O's dashing grandson.
- The real Jack teased an appearance but didn't show amongst the 1,200+ RSVPS.
Zoom in: Out of all the Jack-a-likes, there was only one Schlossberg-er that stole the crowd's heart: Daniel Bonomo, a 25-year-old Georgetown grad student.
- Sorry, ladies, he's taken. Bonomo's girlfriend urged him into the competition because he's a self-proclaimed "silly, goofy guy" with a penchant for foreign policy.
