The latest "Love Is Blind" episodes are now streaming on Netflix, and the cast has headed back to D.C. to see if their matches will survive the transition from the pods to the Beltway.
Why it matters: The episodes show the reality stars living and hanging in town — meaning our local spots are now being streamed into living rooms around the world.
Here at Axios, we watched the latest episodes and did our best to pinpoint filming locations.
- And while the contestants are trying to figure out if love is blind, we're trying to figure out why the "Love Is Blind" D.C. crew isn't actually living in D.C.
The intrigue: After their group vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Netflix puts the cast members up in an apartment building to live with their partners for the first time.
- In a move that's sure to get some fiery comments on an eventual Washingtonian Problems meme, the show's chyron lists the apartment building's location as "Washington, D.C." But in reality, it's in … Arlington.
- It seems the group lives and loves in a building called The Rixey in Ballston, based on exterior shots from the show.
Here's where else they're spotted:
💗 Ciel Social Club
Garrett Josemans and Taylor Krause seem to have dinner at the Mount Vernon Square restaurant while overlooking the Capitol.
- There, they chat about whether Garrett will ever leave his hometown, Fredericksburg, for Taylor's hometown of San Diego. (Where, fortunately for Garrett, there will certainly be lots of fish.)
💗 PLNTR
Stephen Richardson and Monica Davis seem to take a pressed-flower- making class at the Dupont Circle flower spot — after Stephen repeatedly drops the ball at picking up Monica's extremely non-subtle hints that he better start buying her flowers immediately.
💗 Tupelo Honey
Nick Dorka and Hannah Jiles yet again make an appearance on the Potomac's other shore: They appear to meet Hannah's parents at Tupelo Honey in Arlington, where she for some reason complains to her parents and younger brother on national television that Nick "won't even suck my toe."
💗 Vera
When Marissa George brings Ramses Prashad to meet her mother, it seems they go to the Ivy City restaurant, where Ramses is confronted by Marissa's mother about whether he'd ever sign a prenup.
💗 Never Looked Better
Marissa and Ramses went to the bar near the Convention Center to meet her friends for drinks, a spokesperson tells Axios.
💗 Urban Roast
Cast members were spotted filming at the Penn Quarter spot last year, reports DCist.
💗 The Crown & Crow
The entire cast seems to gather at this Logan Circle bar for a Roaring Twenties-themed party. The bar's owner confirmed to the Washington Post that the show filmed there.
- Before the party, Garrett and Taylor get into a fight seemingly on 14th Street outside the former Birch & Barley sign, with the Shake Shack sign in the background. (Honestly, relatable — who among us hasn't late-night cried in front of a crush outside the 14th Street bars?)
💗 Penny Post
Garrett and Taylor go to this Old Town stationery store for a craft-making date with Michele Hatty Fritz of Meant To Be Calligraphy, where they use love letters her grandparents sent to each other, Penny Post owner Amy Rutherford tells Axios.
💗 Summit Ropes
Nick and Hannah appear to go on a date at Summit Ropes in Sterling, a now-closed indoor obstacle-slash-ropes course (which, yes, might be a metaphor for their hold-your-breath relationship).
💗 Quattro Osteria
Garrett and Taylor seem to meet her mom for dinner at this now-shuttered Shaw restaurant.
💗 Hot tub boats
Ramses and Marissa appear to chill in a Sea the City hot tub boat as they float along the waterfront in front of the Wharf. (Axios D.C. would like to state that it started this trend.)
💗 Artechouse
Garrett and Taylor seem to eat dinner in one of the trippy immersive exhibits at Artechouse in Southwest D.C.
What we're watching: In previews for the final episode dropping next week, there are aerial shots of what looks like a wedding at Great Marsh Estate in Bealeton, Virginia.
What's ahead: Episode 12 — the last one — drops Oct. 23, and we'll finally get to see which of our local couples will end up tying the knot.
Editor's note: This story has been updated to add new filming locations.
