A bunch of new brunches and weekend lunches just hit the scene.
Why it matters: Shake up your routine with everything from tasty breakfast burritos to Michelin-ranked feasts.

🦆 Mallard (Logan Circle): Chef Hamilton Johnson just started a Southern-style brunch at his new restaurant. Try indulgenences like Nashville hot chicken with duck jus and waffles, or cornmeal pancakes with fried peaches. Plus: "Mallard mimosas" mixed with peach-mint lemonade.
- Foie fiends can add it to any dish for $15.
🇵🇪 Amazonia (Shaw): The vibey bar above Michelin-starred Causa just launched a three-course Sunday lunch ($45 pp). The mod-Peruvian menu includes your choice of a starter — including several styles of ceviche — a grilled anticucho skewer, and a sandwich or entree like Peruvian-style shrimp n' grits.
- Plus: A mimosa cart service and big, shareable pisco punches.
🌯 Breakfast burritos!! D.C. was pretty burrito-barren, so we're thrilled they're having a moment. Hit up Monsterra Burrito, a super popular pop-up from the Lucky Buns team, now running regularly (including weekdays) out of Georgetown's Grace Street Collective.
- San Pancho in Takoma Park has been making waves (and weekend crowds) with its hearty menu of Mission-style breakfast and lunch burritos, stuffed with the likes of eggs and barbacoa — plus creative vegan and gluten-free options.
🍝 Aventino (Bethesda): Eat like a Roman with a new lunch prix-fixe (Tues - Sat) that includes a choice of pasta and glass of wine. There's also a full brunch menu.
