Chappell Roan cancels All Things Go performances

Megastar singer Chappell Roan has cancelled her Sunday appearance at D.C.'s All Things Go festival.

Why it matters: Roan has soared to stardom this year, and was a hotly anticipated act at this year's festival.

State of play: Roan announced the cancellation via Instagram. She won't appear at New York's All Things Go festival on Saturday, either.

"I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform," she wrote. "Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it."
Fans took to social media to both announce their frustration over the cancellation and their support for Roan.

Zoom out: Roan experienced backlash for a recent interview she gave in which she said she wouldn't endorse a presidential candidate. She said later that she'll vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.

The star has been candid about her struggles with mental health.
