The DMV contestants from the upcoming season of "Love Is Blind" have thoughts on the local dating scene, and they recently dished about it to Axios.

Tyler Francis
Where he lives: Ballston
Where he hangs out: "I'm old now," he says. "You won't find me at a bar."
- He loves to walk the monuments and Theodore Roosevelt Island with his dog.
Thoughts on D.C. dating: "It's hard to find someone that's willing to step away from their career for 30 seconds to find love," he says. "So when ["Love Is Blind"] came around, I was like, 'Heck, yeah, I'll go try it out. Why not? I've tried everything in D.C.'"
Taylor Krause
Where she lives: Shaw
Favorite D.C. date spot: Barcelona on 14th Street.
- "My friends can easily probably hide and see me on the date and give me a 'yes' or a 'no' — I'm just kidding."
Thoughts on D.C. dating: "It's a transient city. Everyone, myself included, moved there because we thought we would change the world," she tells Axios.
- "That lends itself to a very ambitious kind of person with a busy schedule, and they might not have time for love and dating."
Nick Dorka
Where he lives: Tysons Corner
Favorite DMV things to do: Eating at L'Ardente and going out in Dupont Circle at Zebbie's Garden and Decades. "Shoutout Decades."
- "That's the best part about D.C. — there's diversity in the people and the food."
Ashley Adionser
Where she lives: Fairfax
Which local spot she thinks is too popular: Balos in Dupont Circle.
- "It's a viral moment, to the point that everybody [goes on] a date there now, everybody has a birthday there now."
Marissa George
Where she lives: Baltimore
Favorite local date spot: Bar Chinois in Mt. Vernon Triangle.
- "It's really tiny, but very fun. It's low, low light, and the food is really good."
