Watch "Forrest Gump" on the National Mall

Movie nights just got a lot cooler: There will be a screening of "Forrest Gump" on the National Mall this month, per a release.

Why it matters: If you've ever wanted to watch Tom Hanks screaming "Jenny!" as he runs into the Reflecting Pool while you actually chill by the Reflecting Pool, now's your moment.

State of play: "Forrest Gump" will play September 14 at a pop-up on the Mall hosted by Paramount+ and the National Park Foundation.

Catch the movie by the Smithsonian Metro stop. Doors open at 5pm, and the show starts at 7:30pm. It's free for all.
