D.C. splash parks, some pools will stay open through Sept. 22

D.C. spray parks and some pools are staying open past their previous Labor Day deadline.

Why it matters: Local temps might be feeling a little more crisp as we head into fall, but it's still warm enough for a dip.

State of play: The Oxon Run Pool in Southeast, the Hearst Pool in Northwest and all spray parks will remain open through Sept. 22, the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation announced earlier this week.

Both pools will be open six days a week, 10am–6pm. Hearst will be closed Thursdays and Oxon Run on Mondays.
Spray parks will be open every day, 10am–6pm.

Plus: The aquatic fun isn't limited to humans. Doggie Day Swim will return this Saturday at four D.C. pools.

The event will happen at the Langdon Park Pool, Francis Pool, Ridge Road Pool and Upshur Pool from 11am to 4pm.
All participating pups must have a current D.C. dog license and tag.
