Need-what? The brightly colored fidget toys, which snap back into shape when they are squished and stretched, are the latest "it" toy to take off thanks to a viral TikTok trend.
Drops featuring new shapes, like Easter eggs, an octopus, and ice cream cones, fuel the frenzy among young collectors.
Between the lines: NeeDohs have been around for years. But retailers say interest from shoppers in their 20s and 30s is now driving demand even higher.
What they're saying: Haley Tallman, toy buyer for Hub Hobby in Richfield and Little Canada, told the Star Tribune that a shipment "will sell out same day regardless of how large it is."
Abigail Adelsheim-Marshall, co-owner of Mischief Toys in St. Paul, likened the "astronomical" demand to Beanie Babies in the 1990s.
Case in point: Fox 9 filmed lines out the door for a recent release at the General Store in Minnetonka.
One woman, clutching multiple boxes, told the station that her daughter already had 60 at home.
